Because I've been studying English since I was six, I thought that I spoke the perfect English, until I came to Australia. When I came here, I realised that I was speaking English the 'French' way and that it was hard for Australians to understand me. I became shy, quiet and less talkative than I used to be. Fortunately, I had a colleague who was an ex-teacher. She suggested I should enquire about courses that could help me with my accent. I searched everywhere and could not find any courses that would teach people how to talk like Aussies.

However, I was very fortunate to get in touch with Isabella. After an initial assessment with Isabella, I realised more about how my English was received by others.

Since Isabella has started to coach me, I have learnt how to really listen to how Australians speak and I have learnt how to talk in a way that helps them to understand me better. While I am still proud of what is left of my French Accent, I have been able to greatly improve my ability to communicate with Australians. The course sessions with Isabella have greatly increased my self confidence when dealing with internal and external customers.

I have been learning to write and speak English for the last 30+ years, and I would consider myself proficient in English.
